God dont know what happened there it just sent.halway through the message.
GM. Holden NZ now confirmS the existance of documents originating from Isuzu Japan warning of potential structural issues with the chassis of some models of Isuzu vehicles.."They currently claim that it only affected vehicles built for the Japanese Domestic market"...
It begs the question. How they could have a structural fault in the "chassis" that could be market specific? ...you can't tell me that they built special chassis devoid of this potential fault for their export markets..
So here we go the gloves are now off.. and I'm giong for the real story..They GM claim the briefing notice(recall) is in Japanese and can't( won't)provide me with details. (what a load of bollox)
Have any of you got access to any web sites that list recalls from Isuzu...I want all the facts and intend to see this matter through to the end..

paul,
One of the problems associated with "
grey imports"
The Jackaroo (rebadged Isuzu) must also comply to Australian Design Rules which may have additional specifications to the domestic Japanese market.

In reply to your quite valid point..my first confirmation that a problem existed was off the Aussi Site http:// jackworld.alphalink.com.au/body_tips.htm
"We have received unerving reports of Chassis cracking affecting 3.1 td Models from 92' onwards"... so me old mate looks like even the glorious Assie model is also so afflicted..
Remarkable semblance to "Watergate" ..watch this space..
Cheers
