Thanks for the gas stove advice

After reading all the advice given on my last question about gas stoves I've bought a 2kg lpg cylinder and a single burner that screws straight on to the top. This together with a bbq plate that can sit on top of the burner ought to do the job with my little backpacker stove as a backup in case of running out of gas etc.
It seems like the simplest answer to my needs.

Thanks again.

You'll need a big wind shield mate!

The windshield is made by Nissan. It's called a Patrol.

Have to support ianmc's comments.

A minor puff of wind is enough to blow the bugger out.

Bought one in an "emergency" as my 3 burner wouldn't work. (bulldust affected)
Tried it once. Bloody useless.

Now have the cartridge type butane unit as a backup.

rihearn,
you may find it OK in a protected space or inside the tent, etc. but I don't like cooking inside.
