Hi all,
We have two weeks off (starting next Sunday) Our plan hubby 2 kids (5 & 3) and myself is to hire a track shak and go somewhere, but to this pint in time we still don’t know where to go or what to do. We live northern Victoria. We would like to spend at least a few nights in a good family caravan park (playground pool that sort of thing) but have no other plans. We discussed Mildura and heading out to Mungo Nat Park or South Australia somewhere. My five year old suggested we go to Western Australia because he thinks there would be lot of room for him to run around there. Can anyone help me out with some ideas?
Thanks

Gippsland is great this time of year, plenty of parks there as well as close proximity to the High Country. Walhalla is also a place to be visited down there, Grampians is nice too as is the coast at this time of the year. I reckon Mildura'd be pretty hot around about now, and Mungo is only a day trip. Good luck, have a great holiday

Why not just go whichever way the wind is blowing ? It's the people that make a holiday, not the place. Good, bad or indifferent your family will have fond memories. It's your holiday, enjoy, have fun and come back and tell us how it went.

Ness,
Come over to the Sth West of WA, you won't want to go back to Vic.

Going in the direction the wind blows us if the most likely to happen. I don't think the wind will blow us as far as WA though. I picked up the trak shak yesterday and I have to admit we are like kids in a candy shop with that. If only I can win the lotto and park one permently in our shed.
Maybe come sunday night we'll drive the the bottom of the driveway and flip a coin to turn left or right.
