Tamworth area camping and fishing

Hi all,
I have a few days off next week and am heading up
Tamworth way. I was hoping for some suggestions as to good fishing and camping. I do not have a boat so need good river access.

Lovely free
riverside camp sites east of town of
Bingara on way to
dam in hills.
Was there Oct but
dam was covered in green algal bloom but may be gone now wtih rain.
Also a nicely grassed park in town with reasonable rates. Wish I was there now!
