Gooda, I'm looking at having a new off road trailer built so as I can drop a camping (tent) unit on top brand of which is still undecided. What I'm trying to find is a reputable trailer manufacturer that builds a rugged unit to my own secs, such as 3 jerry can holders , a lockable storage uit on each corner of the trailer for things like the battery and gas bottles, galvanising etc. Can any one suggest a manufacturer or have any advice on what should be included etc. Pictures would be great to get sme ideas from. Thanks.

boo. there are heaps of manufacturers around.. try doing searches on google.. and also yellowpages. there are atleast 5 good ones in Newcastle alone that i know of!
i did a bit of searching prior to xmas in regards to suspension components etc... so search "off road trailers" in the best search engine "exploroz" and you'll be guaranteed to find some answers.
one of the cheaper options was to get a standard heavy duty off-road trailer from a manufacturer.. and add-on extras at your desire.
mine getting fabricated at the moment.. will post pics when complete. she'll be a little pearler.
i'll back up the hot dipped galvanised comment from above too.

Agree with Mozza,
Do a search or visit a Caravan and camping show and ask the many makers of camper trailors that have displays, most will custom build for you.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Australian Trailers in Melbourne make the trailers for heaps of camper trailer manufacturers, including Outback Campers. Try them!

Hi Boo;
2 years ago we took delivery of a camper trailer from a company called Coffs Canvas (obviously in Coffs Harbour). They specialise in caravan canvas work and make their own camper trailers under the name of Coolabah Campers. They manufacture the trailers in house to your specs (if required). Ours is hot dip gal-the only way to go as far as I am concerned. Nothing was a problem to them and we have ended up with a unit that is as strong as the proverbial brick #@!& *&%#@.

Cheers.
