The Bridle Track to Hill End, where are the best camping spots for a group who are not interested in being run over by motor bikes?

Jim,
There are several camping spots by the river. If you come from the Bathurst side,( (I can't remember how far exactly) the first camping spot on the left isn't bad, travell a bit further and you come to Randwick Hole camping area, This is quite good as well. All just off the Bridle Track. As for motor bikes... it's anyones guess but I haven't seen too many the few times I've been there.

Jim.
There about 6 to 8 good spots, all on the western side of the road and just off the main bridle track.
Bikes dont seem to be a problem as a lot of the surrounding land is privatly owned and fenced.
If you are going via bathurst, drop into the visitors info centre and they have a mud map of all the camping spots with distances

Only problem I have found with these camping sites is that the toilets a very frequently cleaned and the bins are very frequently emptied. Last ime I was there, every camping site smelt to buggery and in one site, someone had defecated outside the toilet rather than use it and then wrapped it in tissue paper and placed it on top of the rubbish in one of the bins and left the lid off the bin.

There really are some lovely people around.

Jim,

I think the better and larger spots are located closer to Hill End than to Bathurst. There are some large grassy spots beside the river.

Hi Jim, when are you going?

We are looking to do this trip soon and either I'd be happy to give you feedback if I go first or would appreciate some feedback from yourself if you beat me there. We were looking at Easter but now will probably be a long weekend (manufactured long weekend) in April.

Kind regards,

Jason.
