Hi all,

No, not for my Learjet. Does anyone know of a jet-wash (as opposed to an up and over roller job) available near to Sydney CBD and pref open all hours. Don't want one of those detailing places as I'm more than capable of washing a car myself.

One of the big multi-machine type places like in Holder, Canberra or Anna Bay with rows of bays would be good.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,

Tim

I was looking around a while back and found one in Chatswood, that's the closest to the CBD I could find....

At chatswood is a CARLOVERS - BUT they are all lazerwash bays and are automatic.

There is a self serve Carlovers at Pymble! A bit far though!

It is a REAL Problem to find one close to the City or Eastern Suburbs!!

If anyone has a spare few million to bank roll a new one -- I am in!

Jachablue,

Not in Sydney.

I have one of those car washes near home, Penrith. On Saturday I went 3 times in 1 hour. 3 vehicles to wash.

They must be making a mint now and I bet they like the water restrictions.

Im in Sydney. You can use a high pressure hose, as long as it is not connected to the mains. I have an approx 25litre container ( like the one used for beer brewing) which I have put a hose connector on the bottom. I place it on my front wall for a bit of gravity feed and connect the guerni to it. Works a treat. so much easier than the watering can. I can actually clean off underneath. We don't have any carlovers around area, only the $28 cupa coffee style (which only do the top of your 4by)

Cheers

In Kensington at the servo on Anzac Parade, opposite UNSW at High St, they have 2 high pressure wash bays. About $2 per 3mins.

Thanks for your assistance.

This time I went to Chatswoo [sic] and it is as described, but it seems to work pretty well and the underbody wash is likely worth the extra.

Mild weekend splatters (including the roof) were loosened with provided hand brushes and the rest came off with the lazerjet drive-thru machine.

Will have a look at Kensington servo next time. If feeling very sad will offer a review of the two ;)

Tim,

I've used the Kensington a number of times. Even pressure cleaned the engine bay once. Works great!

Just make sure you give the brush a blast with the water jet before putting it near your paint work. You never know what cars before you have been carrying around.

I get away with $8 normally, about 12 mins worth.
