Has anybody got a set of the new Cooper STTs as yet? Feedback.....???
They look the goods, but I don't know what they'll be like.....look similar to the Wrangler MT/Rs.

Cheers

They are very expensive in Cairns, as are the new ST-c tyre. I'd say they'd be pretty good. You'd hope so at the price they're asking.
Cheers, Mark.

Roachie,

There are a few around in the 15' size that I have seen, but looks like I will have to wait another 3 weeks before I can get the 265x75x 16.

I was hoping to have them this week for the Vic High Country trip, but it looks like it will have to be the Snowy trip over Easter.

No but we got a set of the new anti chip Cooper S/Ts and if the STTs are as good then i would recomend them for sure, after having the BFG ATs before, the S/Ts are better i think and quieter too, even with the more agressive tread pattern, i'm happy.

Baz.

Don't hold your breath waiting.

I spoke to the National Importers and they said a few weeks yet.
They are National Tyre Wholesalers in Fyshwick ACT. 02 6239 1739

I am also waiting for a set the same size that you are after. There are a few in the 15" but not much in the 16" .

Skip,

Have a look at www.lcool.org on how to fit 16" rims on the prado and all
other technical stuff related to them, etc...

I'll be using ROH Trak 2 Rims 16"x8" with a Lancruiser offset. You
can get them at Beaurepairs at Cranbourne for $95 each...

I am getting STTs as a second set for offroad. The 17" are used for
everyday driving. The cheapest 17" (17" x 7.5") steel rims I could find are $200 each and 17" tires are more expensive compared to 16" tires.

If your going to have a second set of tires for offroad, why not get something serious instead of just muddies?

I need them to double up as a touring tires as well. The Simex and
similar are only good for mud and nothing else...

They were at Wandin, but had seen them before that.

They are very soft, they wont wear as well as BFG MT or MTR's etc.. The only softer normal MT (not extreme tire) would be the Silverstone.

Depends what you expect from them.
