Add to that the price of your 4wd and you are running around in 1/2 the price of a house. (in some
places). But I know people to whom money just isn't an issue. If you can convince em that its the best then they will buy one. I wonder if they ever ask themselves how the other 99.9% of the world lives .....I don't envy them, I know that money by itself doesnt make you happy. But it can make you damm comfortable !

You could buy two small new hatchback cars for the price of the base model - $38,500.
How do they arrive at these prices - I guess small production runs= high costs .
WOW.

38 grand and half the decent stuff you would expect is an "option".
When all is said and done, it's still a tent on a trailer, albeit a
well built one.
Makes a T Van look like a bargain at a "mere" 29 grand.
Any wonder people rave about
Tambo's.
And now I'm even happier with my half
home made, half professionally finished job, at just over 4 large. Christ it even included a
water tank, awning, front storage box and kitchen. Only an on-roader, but when the time comes I might splurge and spend another 5 and get a
Tambo.
38 large for a half fitted out camper is outrageous IMHO.
Jim.

I am amazed at the number of brands and models of camper trailers now available and the prices. Can buy a reasonable house in some country towns for the price of some new vans, eg 23ft at $70,000, expensive lounge room on wheels & a depreciating asset. Too bad about the poor people.
Suspect quite a few will not be around in a few years, just like earlier times when
van sales almost stopped then years later re-emerged with similar names & maybe new owners. Out with the staple gunds & ply once more each cycle??

Did anyone pick up on the ball weight of 30-50kg? Unladen weight of the vehicle is said to be 2000kg. You woud have to think at least 2500kg when optioned up and loaded with personal items. Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen if the the ball weight is as low as 30-50kg (?1.5-2.5%)

Have you guys ever actually seen this thing , or , is it the usual sprouting off over pictures ?
The guys make one of the best CT's I have EVER seen , BAR nothing. Their quality and workmanship is second to nobody.
They are areonautical engineers.
Yes , they are expensive , for a reason , but , KK's , Ultimates etc , are up around that $30,000 mark.
Be stuffed if I would buy one though , who would pay THAT much for a CT ;)
I like my $7500 one.

Willie.
Talking to some people the other week who sell a range of campers, they cannot get enough KK's to meet demand. Low cost camper sales are slow.
I guess there are a lot of people out there who will pay $30k plus.
Must say, can see the dollars in the photos. Still too much for me in more ways than one.
Regards

Well, I've read the specs, looked at the photos, accept that it is
well made. But even if I had that sort of money available I woudn't want one. It is really just too cramped, my $7500 model will go anywhere and do anything (and it has) but at the same time can sleep five of us for an overnight stop without putting up any extra awning - three 100mm foam mattresses stored on the bed move to the floor area and there you go.
Storage also seems a bit limited, I have a huge storage area under the bed alongside the pull out kitchen, accessible from inside or out. A boat rack is an optional extra - as I don't have a boat yet I haven't bothered.
No, I will keep what I have and try to persuade my wife that I can spend the $30k we have saved on some other toys!
