I am considering towing a Bushtracker along the Buchanan from Dunmarra to Top Springs then Victoria River Downs to Timber Creek.
Would appreciate any info on this road. Nothing comes up on the searches.
Time would be around early-middle May.

Regards
Bob

Use this route each year when coming back from the Kimberley. Paved from Timber Creek to Vic River (nice camping spot) a beer at the pub (Top Springs is refreshing and usually quiet unless it is a Friday night ..from there to Dunmarra is a relatively easy trip. Just take it easy now and then due to corrigations. I wouldn't do it in the rain.. although if you don't mind some mud then go for it.

My folks travelled the Buchanan last June, they reckon it was pretty good, they even passed a road train going the other way so I'm sure you would be fine. As they found out just watch out for any huge clouds of dust coming the other way because it could be a road train coming, and they stop for nothing......
