About 100 meters?
The Tanami road (Track) is dirt all the way from
Alice Springs in NT to
Halls Creek in WA, about 1050 kilometers. Most of the time though its in reasonable nick.
When it rains...........
well.

Sandman is right. I did the section from
Halls Creek to Wolfe Creek Crater 5 years ago. It was just open that day to 4wd only because parts were still flooded from the cyclone that hit Broom a few months earlier but apart from the usual patch of water at the bottom of dips in the track and those damn corrugations, no problem. In parts it is almost 3 lanes. Hopefully I will have time to go back and do it all before someone decide to seal it and change the name to Tanami Hwy.
Rgds,
Sly.

There is approx 12 km of sealed road complete with lines in the middle of nowhere when we went up in 2002.
As we are going up that way in July l shall be more than happy to measure it again.
