Does anyone own one of these ? and if so, would appreciate as to whether they are any good. An example would be say
Brisbane to
Sydney on the coast road with the multitude of fixed speed camera's. (before you say it, I know, don't speed).

Shane,
Are you talking about the GPS105 or the stand alone system

Rolande,
The GPS 301, similar to the ROAD ANGEL but a lot cheaper.

Shane,
The GPS 105 for not a lot more, around $400, will give you a 40 channel UHF, plus everything the 301 gives you. I believe you can update via the net the same way as you would the 301.
I have the GPS 205, (same unit in hand held), and have found it useful, if not totally accurate. It does miss some red light cameras etc, however this is probably more due to the fact I cannot download an update with the handheld as you can with the other units.
Worth the money? - For the cost of two speeding or red light camera fines - definitely!
Hope this helps
Rolande

I have a 105. It's not updateable via the internet.
The updates are installed by taking it to a Uniden service centre. Same as the 205.
However, you can add/delete speed and red light cameras or black spots, manually through the front panel.
