Caravan Park recommendation for Cloncurry

Hi everyone,
Has anyone got a recommendation for a caravan park in both Charters Towers and Cloncurry. I have seen a post with a non-recommnedation (Oasis) for Cloncurry but no recommendation of an alternative if there is one. We would only be overnighting so free camping could be an option but see nothing nearby both locations in the Free Camps book.
Thanks in advance for any advice for either a caravan park or free camping.

Hi Indy,

We stayed at rhe Gilbert Park CP on the outskirts of Cloncurry. It is a Top Tourist Park rated 3 1/2 Stars. It has grassed drive through site suitable for overnighting. The amenities are clean and well maintained. If you happen to be there on a Sunday night there is a tasty fish BBQ (have to pay though) and entertainment. It was a great stopover after travelling the Barkly Highway.
