David,
From time to time I
check the current users list. Often it shows people logged on multiple times. I just looked; Rosco, Bonz, Mad Dog, yourself and myself all logged on twice. Sand Man 3 times.
Nigel can often be logged on up to 20 times.
What does this mean? I'm just interested.
Cheers,
Jim.

I've noticed tis too. I think it happens if you don't logoff but just exit from the program. It then just clears later down the track.

sometimes Jimbo we may have a couple of 'puters logged in and a couple of windows open to EO on one 'puter. Not that I am one on your list. Nigel must be a hog wanting 20 though. LOL

Yep, I often have two pc's logged on as
well. The desktop in the study and the laptop wanders all around the property. I'm looking at a motor mower mount for the lappy but I'm a bit concerned if I'll have room for the fridge, arhh, just have to tow a trailer...but might need a more powerful mower for towing.....the vicious circle

It's because Nigel has acute Alzheimers disease (No I don't mean a good looking one either) and he forgets he was on a second ago.
What happens is that he has a question to post on the
Forum and he opens the EO site and forgets he opens the EO site. He does this many many times in a row.
Finally he remembers he is on but can't remember what the question was.
He sits down and mumbles to himself (and dribbles too). Oh hang on, that's Mad Dog. Sorry

Jim,
Few issues at the moment with this. Last night if you were aware I shutdown the system and converted 35% of the systems databases to a new DB server and had to update over the last few days around 120 programs to support the new DB. There are several bugs appearing and the user list is one of them. I was upto 2AM this morning working on it and started again at 8AM today. I have fixed a load of issues and think most are OK for now, the user list may just have to wait till I have a break and come back to it - maybe tonight.
Nigels user runs one of our fuel system updates (at the same time each day) this causes his process to appear a lot of times (it is the way that program is coded).
The current users count is incremented each time a user starts a new session and is closed after a period of time - the close is failing and the register of new is happening a little too often today. I suspect a small bug in the code which I will fix. This little user list counter is not used by or monthly stats reporting system it is something I have added to the site for interest - it should be accurate but maybe not so good today as per the bug.
BTW: If you notice any other little bugs or issues in the system over the next few days please email me at david@exploroz.com and I will get to fix them. Please only send me bug reports such as the one I got this morning about unable to update Members Profile etc.

Done - will need to
check back in a few hours to see what the status is.
Take it easy and please remember
feedback any new bugs that you see on the system. Do not think it is something you have done assume it is something I may have done.

Thanks David,
As I said it was only out of interest, wasn't causing any problems.
Just wondered if I was doing something odd to appear twice.
Cheers,
Jim

No worries - In fact I wanted to put up some info about last nights updates anyway, and this thread is a good place. Has a high view count so I gues a load of people will get my message.
Good investigation by the way it is these things that look strange that are usually the bugs I need to know about. It also appears that the bug may now also be sorted, will keep my eye on it.
Take care have a nice day.
