Michael

There aren't any school hols in August. There's July 4th to 15th and September 26th to October 7th.

The National EO gatering in Birdsville's on in the July hols.

Hi Michael,

we'd be interested. I've got a 7yo and a 4yo that love camping and apparently we don't go enough !!! I'm getting it in the neck from a 4yo about not going on enough "adventures".

Where'd you have in mind and for how long? Will be cold.

We live in the Sydney hills by the way.

Cheers,

Jason.

We are likely to have the grandkids Boy 8 girl 6 during one or both of those holidays. We usually avoid school holidays but feel like a return to either Wombeyan Caves (lots space for bike riding) or Wollondilly River Station, Put you trip in the trips thingy and we will see if the dates suit. We live in the shire, lol.

Wollondilly looks pretty good, I've been meaning to take the family there for a while.

It's not my thread though, so I'll wait for Michael to come back to it and make a suggestion.

Cheers,

Jason.

Hi Carolyn and Jason, I didnt know that Birdsville was on but i dont really have the time to prepare nor the inclination to do anything big this year. I already live in the Southern Highlands,i drive 200 ks a day , six days a week, so something local would be good for me in July. jason may be on the money. There are a few nice places here . I have two wonderful , well manered boys 8yo and 10yo who love to camp, maybe a few more families who dont want to travel too far may want to put their two bobs worth in also.. I am also willing to go outside my home area if it sounds appealing.. I actually love Hill End and so do my kids.. Really has some atmosphere and plenty to do for the kids. best regards Michael

Yes.

I suggest anyone who spells school with a 'k' needs to remain in one during the holidays.

Poor spelling is OK – most of us are guilty of that to some degree but an attempt to Americanise or “New Speak” the language is unacceptable.

The English language has been good enough for far better writers than you – and they never felt the need to change the basics of it… whatever make you think you are equipped to do so?
