Could someone advise me on what would be a good price to pay for a
BFG A/T 275/70r/16.
I live in Sydney so any recomendations on tyre fitters would be
appreciated.

Pappas,

I assume from the tyre size you either drive a 100 series Landcruiser or a 4.8l Patrol ?

You may find by shopping around that prices will vary by up to $50. You will also find that a different size tyre will be cheaper. The 265/75r16 will give you a slight increase in tyre height and is a more common size and so is cheaper, and is still within the 15mm allowed by RTA regulations. The other option is to go for 285/75r16 if you are considering doing some off road tracks where it will give you greater clearence for the diffs. Also may be cheaper then the 275/70r16.

I would recommend giving Tempe Tyres a ring, they have been the cheapest when I have been looking for tyres.

Cashy,

Wondering about your comment on the 265/75r16 being within the 15mm allowed by RTA. as appears the difference in dia. between a 265/70r16 and a 265/75r16 is close to 28mm. Maybe I'm missing something here??

Graham,

The reply was based on the 275/70R16 which was in the original question. I never made any mention of the 265/70R16. Yes there is about 28mm difference between these 2 sizes.
