We are heading to Wombat Forest to meet Mad Dog (Australia) and a few tentitives. Mike Harding and Blue.

As Mad Dog says. "It's gonna be the last time out before the tracks get closed for winter so make the most of it eh?"

Where are you going?

Queen Birthday w/end was last week here where god lives but as I work 2/1 i am off as of THIS MORNING (pretty happy bout that) I go bush on all my breaks and depending on if we have more rain I will do the Yowie rocks track from the Evanstone menzies road to Koolynobbing. Have been intending on doing it for a while but some of the bog holes where the track passes past granite rocks could get exciting for a lone traveller especially as it would be lucky to get traffic once a week

If there was a bit more time in the long weekend I'd travel the 2794 Km from here to there to join you for a bleep in your fire.

lol

Sounds like you have a plan...

Enjoy

Take a chain saw as there's plently of old sleepers in the top corner of the campground otherwise not much else to burn.

Yep, just been informed that my long weekend will be spent NOT being paid overtime due to the fact I get an annualised salary...

I'm afraid I'll have to give this one a miss, another day of rain should see you get a dust free weekend though... Have fun and think of me sitting here at work between the hours of 6:30pm and 6:30am Sat, Sun & Monday nights...

I'm sure the blokes who called in sick for this long weekend will have an equally bad time as I will... NOT!!!

You get a sweat deal where you are Blue.

That cool car package is worth $$$$ Thousands to you...

A few days a work being PAID normal time is a small investment in your outdoor passions.

BTW what is the pic titled "DSC02429 (Small)"?

I don't even get normal time, I get to do it for the "love of the job"

The pic was for Wombats benefit, just a mod to allow the fitment of 3 kids seats/harnesses re: post 23452

The car does add a bit to the package, shame they wont let me modify it any further...

Torn between two loves..Would like to go the 1000kms to Bris to Caravan / Camping show on now till Mon I think..If I don't make it,then Five Rocks past Yeepoon nth of Rockhampton would be the go.Lots of great sand there and magic beaches..Great camping in winter..Bit hot in summer, short of shady trees..Should plant some Palms..As long as the Yanks don't drop any stray missiles on us..(war exercises) http://public.fotki.com/RockyOne/jeep_rigsoffroadfol/ns-1.html

My family and friends are off to the Southern Highlands ( NSW ) to a friends farm, to give the quads and dirt squirts a run. Looking forward to firing up the camp fire, BBQ and Cobb. If I'm really lucky, I might just hook a trout or yabba in one of this dams.

Off to Jingellic on the Murray River.

Have been known to darken the doors of the Pub there occasionally...

Golf at Walwa, mountain bikes in Burrowa NP, and beers on the back verandah!

Apparently it's some Queen's Birthday???

Camping on the Murray near Blanchtown.
Will dangle a line and sip a few reds and watch the water go (slowly) past us.

I promised our Border Collie we would take her with us next time we went camping and she's excited cause this long weekend's the next time.
