Started to rain yesterday afternoon and overnight. half an inch in the guage this morning and more to follow.
Since we only get 8" a year, that was one good slow steady soak.

We have had the wettest start to winter in about 40 years and the wettest one day May rainfall ever here in Mandurah on the West coast WA. Maybe some of our rain systems will filter east over the next few months and help you guys out a bit.
This is meant as an encouragement, as I have lived in ares where it doesn't rain for nearly 10 months and then you get it all in one go, so I know how you feel.
Enjoy it while it lasts and go play in the mud

I'll organise a roof job for myself for tomorrow Nudie an you can gaurantee the rain will come. What time would you like it. It'll start 5 minutes after I take the tiles off.

THANK GOD!!!!!

I was getting all concerned, thinking to myself, how long it would be before we have to endure another instalment of Ray Martin, dressed in his new Akubra, Moleskins & Blundstones..... kneeling down in an empty claypan, with a handful of sand falling through his fingers........

... telling us who we should blame.....

It will rain when it rains, simple. Civilisations have grown, prospered, and died because of the weather.

Study history, it's all there.

Anyway, rain is good...... it's really dry everywhere.

Better get some new wiper refills for my bus.

Cheers

Wolfie

We trying so hard to blow it East to you guys - one place along the south coast not far from our farm got 8" a couple of days ago. After years of drought and poor crops, and this year re-seeding 2 & 3 times due to waterlogging, all has been washed away. Yes, we don''t want it all at once - we want to share it with you. The geese are happily swimming around where my front lawn used to be tonight, and we live on a hill. Good luck for a good season.
