The road over the top from Moonan Flat can be closed but
check with the rangers. Take your themals. Last year in May we had -3 degs at Poleblue Swamp. A nice walk up to Mt Barrington and Carey's Peak. We drove down to Gummi falls but it had been a bit wet and the track was clay. Not too steep but because we were on our own we left the car at the top and walked the last 1 Km.
