G'day all,

I need to find a spot near Albury where we can camp and have a fire. My brother lives in Melbourne and myself in Sydney and we need to meet up to celebrate the life of a very important family member.

Can anyone make some suggestions as to where we can camp, make a fire and drink a slab/case of Fosters (this persons drink of choice)?

Thanks for your help,

Jason.

Hello. Give the Rural lands Protection Board a call on 0260404210. Let them know that you would like to camp on a spot on the river. There are some TSR's on the river around near Kismet (tell the Kismet) I think you have to actually apply in writing (many don't) for permission to camp there. Good Luck

cheers PS we have had over 4 inches of rain in the last 8 days (not sure when you are camping) so might be a tad slippery

Stantons Bend near Rutherglen. Magnificent. And when the beer runs out, Red,White,Muscat,Port and the rest at you doorstep.Located on a bend in the Murray with plenty of grass, beach and no problems with fires. Byo toilet though.
