Does anyone know of a bed n breakfast accommodation available in the East Macdonnell Ranges, NT. We thought we saw on a recent travel show somewhere that was offering this but can't find any information on anything.

I've been through there, but don't recall seeing any B&Bs.

You could try contacting Trephina Gorge Rangers Station or The Alice Spring Tourist Bureau.

I live in Alice. I was under the impression that both places in that direstion, the Ross River Homestead and Altunga pub were not only no longer open, but downright discouraging of visitors. However Willem's advice is interesting and I'd check that phone number.
The next place to stop is some way north of Altunga at Gemtree where there is a camping ground with cabins.
