Steve,
I have been there with rain more than once, however... it has been raining slowly but steady for a while now...
I would call the ranger and ask his opinion as it may be still OK.
Remember it only takes one to get stuck or get into trouble for them to close it...

The biggest worry would be the river, with so much rain it will rise enough to prevent you getting across and out.
I've been down there and had to stay longer than intended a couple of times, I've had friends and others that have submerged vehicles trying to get out too. There is ahuge cathcment and the river will rise quickly and stay up, one occasion it stayed up for a week and we had sun and no rain in the valley.
The tracks themselves should be ok though slippery, there is usually enough gravel and rock to give traction, would give it a miss if towing anything though.
