I hope this weather moving south helps some who need it. Just checked the gauge last 7 hours 80mm, total since Sunday arvo 295 mm. thats 12 inches. For your info i'm near Brunswick Heads in northern NSW.
Looking on BOM radar its heading south. Sydney and Goulburn might catch some overnight.

We are between Goulburn and Canberra, sort of, and overnight its been pretty windy with occasional light showers. It is unusual to get warm moist air coming from the north as it is at the moment. The dams are still very low, after all, we have something like a 500 mm deficit over the last three years to make up. Nothing like 12 inches down here - I feel quite inadequate.

tell me about it!!!
i'm in newcastle and we've recorded 17mm in last 24 hours ...
60mm in the last week as of yesterday arvo... and doesn't look like stopping for a couple of days yet....
it's a shame it can't just be re-directed out west to where the drought is!

G'day Mike and Baz, sad news on the home front, the B in Law passed away and his funeral is in Sydney on Tuesday.

Due to that the wife wants to stay close to home if needed by her elderly mum and dad.

Have a great trip and hope to make the next big gathering.

Tony,

Sorry to hear about your loss.

We'll miss you but be assured, we'll have a beer (or fifteen) for you on Saturday night.

See you next camp.

I am in Broken Hill officialy between 9 and 3 yesterday we got 1.4mm.

I had the pleasure or refereeing a soccer match last night (7pm Kickoff) and trust me there was more than 1.4mm fell on the field in the 80 min the game took.

It was 9.6 C max yesterday probably about 7 C while we were out on the ground then there was the windchill and the rain. Yeah it was cold and no one really wanted to be out in it. The one thing nobody complained about, and I mean nobody was the rain.

It has been raining off and on for a week and we are only just starting to get some runoff.

We will take a bit more.

Duncs
