Hi all
Heading off in a few weeks and wondering about
camping around
Innamincka.
Is there
camping available at
Nappa Merrie station itself?
If not anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
Rusty

Rusty, A few years ago I gamped along side the river at Nappa Marie Bridge, right hand side heading North, good sandy area. Turn off just after the bridge. Hope this helps.

Yep - you can
camp upstream from the
homestead, adjacent to the
Burke and Wills bridge - fishing and yabbying
well worthwhile there - you might also consider
camping down by the famous dig tree itself ? Saw people doing that while I was there last - the caretakers (NM station staff) do ask for a fee but - not high as I recall. Don't forget those fly nets ........................ :-)

Hi Rusty,
I was there in early July and camped at
the Dig tree camp site which is maintained by
Nappa Merrie Station. It has quite a few lovely spots by the
creek.
There is a $10 fee per vehicle.
There is a
sign by the bridge banning
camping at the bridge itself, I don't know of other locations near the bridge.
There is
camping at
Cullyamurra Waterhole, once again some great spots by the
creek and pit
toilets, also
camping at
Innamincka itself on the town Common.
I wish I was back there you lucky @%$#@.
