Had a great short weekend down at Burra Creek Gorge with Members Roachie, Pesty, Muddy-doe and 4playfull and families.

Roachie installed a solenoid in the GQ to isolate the batteries. Thanks Roachie.

Muddy-doe helped and showed how to correct Com Port errors on the laptop. Thanks Muddy

Pesty, with younger eyes, saw that the airconditioning compressor belt was loose. After a quick under the truck inspection it was revealed that the idler pulley has seized and that the whole shebang was just about to come apart.

So THAT is what the aircond problem is...hopefully!

Yesterday arvo 4playfull took us on a trip around the Burra Hills and up Inspiration Hill and on to the Julia Police Station memorial. Then we drove along a back track which is part of the Heysen Walking trail, and what I believe was also an old stockroute, under some low trees and over some undulating country which can be tracherous when wet. Muddy was desperate to find some mud but only a few small puddles of water came his way :-)

Last night the wind died down and we sat around the fire with wood supplied by Pesty in a tandem trailer towed by Muddy. We passed the bottles around which inculded Port, Muscat, Scotch and Ginger, a couple of bottle of red and some White Lightning( my Rocketfuel ! Yes and I still have some left). When everyone was ticking over nicely the pancake mixes came out we we ate ort fill

This morning was a cold and windy and we all made our way home around midday.

A good camp spot and good company.
