from what i can tell all navs have LSD, if it spins freely it just means its worn out. a diff specialist will rebuild it for you. if it turns out by chance you do have an open carrier and you have a sailsbury diff, i will swap it with you for free for an LSD carrier as i am looking for an open diff in place of my LSD.

Hi F4Phantom might sound like a stupid question but if it turns out not to be a lsd why would you want to change from a lsd to an open carrier, also where are you located at Regards Steve M

there may be a few requirements to meet, the carriers need to be the same or they are not interchangeable. Mine is called a sailsbury diff, i hope yours is too, i cant remember the name of the other types. You can tell a sailsbury diff if there is a seal at the back which can be unbolted to gain access to the diff from the rear. Usually about 8 bolts. If you have the other diff which requires taking the whole axle out then its a no go unfortunatly.
