Gembrook, Dargo, Licola, Wombat, Big River, High country, Toolangi, otways, Grampians, Bunyip forest..... just depends what you want to do and where you want to go.

Heaps of tracks around and at the moment there is plenty of water and mud.

If you're in Victoria, and I presume that you are, you probably wouldn't be asking for "somewhere in Victoria" if you had previous experience there. Sorry for asking, but do you have trail experience yet? Sorry if you do...

If not - then go with a group - don't go by yourself.

Agree.
Do the right thing, don't give the greenies more ammunition to close tracks off to us.

Sensational advice.

Mandingo,

Put up a post suggesting a drive somewhere near to you and you are bound to get some takers.

That's how I started doing it. About a year ago I put up a post about a trip to Gembrook and we ended up with 11 cars on the day.

Didn't I learn a few things that day?

Cheers,

Jim.

Giving it hard time ? Or having a good time ? If the former, don't leave home without your credit card.

Greenie hoodlums? Most would prefer a significant amount of clearing.

Havent you ever heard a bunch of teenage boys yelling out "WE NEED BUSH! WE NEED BUSH", then go off in search of some teenage girls?

Gees, get a life mandingo. It's morons like you that can't take a joke and make internet forums less appealing to regular people.

Explorer, I don't know this moron.

Cheers,

Chump

ie. 99% chance it's on highway terrain tyres, this chap hasn't been out before, and you guys are suggesting high country, mud and big rivers! 8)

Best advice was the join a club/follow a tagalong mob!
Phew!........ Thank god for that one!

Damn forgot!....
Try Murrayville south to Horsham, haven't been out that way for some time.
I remember it was an easy sandy wheelrutted track, a bit of fun, and not too remote and treacherous.
Anywhere ouround the Little Desert area, pink lake, etc.....
Sandy, easy, great learning!

Mandingo

If you live near the border of Toolangi you have some tough stuff on your doorstep, especially if a little wet, but i am sure you know that. Other good tracks at the moment go to gembrook, head up rankins track cross under the powerlines, have some fun there and then head up Andersons track and then back to gembrook.

I am heading out to Walhalla on the weekend, through the coopers creek, heading to woods point and then onto marysville via lake mountain. please feel free to join us on Sunday
