All,

Mr ExploreOz - I know its not a chat page - forgive me.

Magoo here -
The XTrail is packed up and in the drive.
We leave at 7am Goldie to Coonabarabran 1st stop -
then Dubbo,Cooma,Smiggins,Mildura,Flinders,CooberPedy,Uluru,Alice,Katherine,Kakadu,Lithfield. Isa - Gold Coast ..Wooohooo -

I wanted to thank everyone here who helped by answering my questions and contributing to my information and safety. Really great.

ExploreOz - thanks for the trek notes etc - great info.

If you are out there Aug 27- Oct 1 look out for the champagne (ha! beige) Xtrail with the crates bolted to the roof cage and give me a 'gidday'.

PS:
Space is a premium - I think a Pathy or Patrol will be the next car.

The roof cage is indespensible.
The UHF is installed and fits really well in the hooded compartment above the glove-box.
The extra wheel is up top
The jack behind the seat so I dont have to unpack the rear for it.
The hose spares and tools are packed
The 25 Ltr Water drum is comforting
The self inflatable beds take up a lot of room .....and the chairs,tent,accessories,tables,cookers,poles,wheels,cool-box,food,water drums.

Thought I had it done and then we realised the cloths weren't in yet - aww- who needs em... we do acording to everyone else haha.

blah blah - you get the picture -you probably all have done it before.

No cargo barrier is a bit of a concern - extra care there.

Magoo (Brian) out.
