Did yers like the staged 4by reversing crunch during the interview with the Scrub on current affair.
Priceless the Australian media are they NOT.
Seems to be selling this 4by criticism and it isn't gonna stop until the Scrub has had the chop

I see he changed his argument from all 4WD’s to just all the big 4WD’s humm could this be because he owns a 4WD
well sort of.
All the people who were bitching about 4WD’s were all driving small compact cars; I bet they would make the same comment about any falcon or commodore.
My favourite was the "they are big and overpowered" comment. Yeah those N/A Diesal land cruisers are a real drag car.

I upgraded from the WRX as it was too slow, now i have a 2.5L 57KW diesel engine with 27kw at the
wheels, i can feel the power at the lights, so yes 4x4's are way over powered.

I think enough is enough.
Can everybody provide any known details about this Scrubby moron?
Address, phone, email, pets names, shopping habits, etc.....
I think after reading The Avengers Handbook" we could teach him a thing or two.....
Not that I would recommend ANYTHING from that book......

The media makes news and that is why serial complainers are always in demand.
We should be getting angry at the media.

As I was having dinner at the time, I didn't really take in what the exact topic was about this time, but can guess.
But one thing I have made my mind up on.
I'm NOT watching "A Current Affair" any more. They have "flogged a dead horse" once too often and I am simply p!ssed off with them. Goodbye Channel 9.

Hi Michael,
I agree with everything that has been said and get just as bleep off as everybody about the way we are portrayed by the media.
The guy who spoke last night in defence of 4wd owners was OK but in my opinion we need someone with a very high profile to be interviewed and speak on our behalf each and every time they get a chance to do so.
I'm not suggesting for a minute that this will be easy to achieve but we need to use a
well respected Australian who just also is a mad keen 4wd owner, and each and every time these ratbags wheel Scruby and company out to make a statement we need to be able to counter with a
well recognised 4wd subject expert to hit them back. It would take time but I wonder if this might be a good option.
It just seems to me that we cop a continual flogging and while I know a lot of people say ignore it, the fact is I don't think it is going to go away. I am sure we can all think of areas around the country where we have lost the ability to gain access for a whole range of reasons and collectively I think we don't want to see this trend continue.
I don't know guys, what are your thoughts on this?
Have a great day.

Ive been sayin the same thing for years. Wheres Ron Moon, or Glenn Ridge - he did ok out of his travel shows for a while then dried up like a turd in the sahara.
Or what about one of these travel shows thats JUST about Aussie Camping and 4wding? Instead of the ones with Ernie Dog going to Greece/Russia/USA/Turkey etc stayin in
places $1200 a night + $20k each to get there.
Isn't Aussie big enough to support a show like this going to different
places once a week? Theres enough sites/camping spots/ tourist
places for a series to last about 5 yrs without replaying one episode.

Blame the Media. The Red neck press panders to the lowest common denominator, they target easily identifiable groups, popularist clap trap with quick easy answers. The easy targets include race (aborigines. asians etc) religion (Muslims), vehicles (trucks and 4WDs) etc. all easy to pick in a crowd.
People who are not able to form their own opinions love the likes of Pauline Hanson, Ray Martin et al. Simple fix, don't watch the tabloid rubbish on TV and dont' buy the tabloid publications.
With such a large number of 4 WDs on the road no government would have the nerve to discriminate against such vehicles. Also, the fact that about 90% never go off road gives us a great
pool of second hand vehicle to choose from when next we buy.
Cheers

Interesting statistic on ABC TV Business Report the other night showing a graph on the sales of 4 WD's has actually had a minus 5 per cent growth and lowering, the anouncer attributed this to the price of fuel, that excuse driven commodity that we are all held ransom to.
Cheers
