I've used 2 pairs of Accuride slides, made (or distributed) by Hafele, on for a drawer and one for a fridge slide. Smooth as silk and much better travel than a normal fridge slide.

Chris,
Sorry the earlier message was brief, I just popped home for 5 minutes.
The slides are different to the Hafele or TJM which are 3 stage with ball bearings. The UES is 2 much stronger bars, looks a lot more robust to me. I'll be getting some in a couple of weeks.

Hettich is another good slide, about $115 from memory for a 100kg rated at 900mm extenesion slide kit. I got
mine from Mermaid Distributors here at
Southport, but Hettich are all over the country

Yep,
I've used the Hettich slides for three drawers in the back. I don't intend on filling with anything heavy, so used the #5632 runners which were 650mm and rated for 45kg, and only cost $42 a pair. They work fine. Got tehm from Galvins in
Adelaide.
Cheers
Phil

Brad, I notice they only come out 44cm. Doesn't sound like much. Do you have short drawers or how do you get to the stuff at the back?

Might be worth trying a local kitchen manufacturer (not one of the big ones). I have a mate who builds kitchens and he got me a couple of sets of over extending, ball bearing, heavy duty slides. From memory about $100 per set but are brilliant.
I'm in
Sydney so can't really help you in Melb.
Cheers,
Stuart

The 100kg sets on Ebay are identical to the ones I ran for about 3 years on the Prado. I had the ones that were 800mm long. Main criticism was that the drawers do not extend out full length; and that theres a lot of vertical play when the drawer is closed. Also its strongly recommended that you don't weld them because you'll butcher the nylon rollers. The positive is that they are easy to fit for wooden drawers, and drawers can be removed very easily.
As mentioned above, this time I went for the 45kg Hettich runners (KA 5632) in the 650mm length at $42 a pair. They are nice and tight, dual stage, so come out full length.
The weight is the rating with the drawer fully out. When fully closed, the runners would be considerably stronger, so I'm not expecting any issues with my 45kg runners which will carry about 20-30kgs in each drawer.
Cheers

I wonder if your interested in an unused draw set (complete to fit Landcruiser - but easily modded for other similar vehicle).

Try Howard Silvers, got a good set of slides from them last year for $100 a pair and rated to 100 kgs. worked great for drawers in my 80.
They climb up in lengths of 10cm a time and will long outlast the rest of the drawer stucture.
The company are based in
sydney but sent them up to their rep in
brisbane for free and i picked them up, i'm sure they will have a rep in
melbourne.
Used 90 cm slides for back of my 80 with cargo barrier fitted.
cheers barry.
