Does anybody have any recommendations for good
river camp sites East of Sale?
We usually
camp in central Gippsland through to the Dargo/Crooked River area & would like to have a look at bit further East.

A couple on the
Mitchell would be at the Slalom Rapid at
Horseshoe Bend and at the Final Fling rapid near Glenaladale Bridge that you can get to by vehicle. Plenty by kayak.
Plenty of sites on the Snowy too, like
the junction of the
Buchan and Snowy, McKillops Bridge too, that are easy access. New Guinea off the Gelantipy Road, but pretty fun road to get there by the look on the map. New Guinea is a major rock garden on the Snowy, quite shallow and the river is pretty wide too. Reckon the Gelantipy to Compressor Corner road could be a good one too as it shows a
river crossing.
Aside from that there is the Cann, the
Tambo, the Brodribb, and the Combienbar to explore, though they look a little steep in parts.
How far East do you want to go?
