Hi, I am new to this site - seems like it is very helpful. I am wondering if some of you die hard 4WD-ers can help with suggestions for itinerary ideas for a trip later this year. Departing
Sydney on Oct 22 and returning by December 22nd. Obviously due to heat concerns we need to go south and not stray too far inland into desert country. We are big time into fishing (both randr and fly), hiking and "roughing it"
camping. I know there is heaps to do in both Victoria and South Australia but would like some input about your ideas of a rough trip outline based on this amount of time. Would prefer to do a circle trip than double back on ourselves. (PS We have already travelled the Great Ocean Road but would do it again if that is the best trip plan). Have you had a look at the trek notes on this site? Lots of ideas there. They're hiding in the Trip planning tab at the top of the page.
