camping. when i purchased it i didnt order brakes but now i want brakes so what i want to know is what brakes would you recommened, what i should be paying for brakes and the pro's and con's on the three different types of brakes. ive got the option between electric hydrolic and mechanical. thanks

I have electric brakes on my CT, I haven't got a clue what you'd pay to get them put on a camper after you bought it. The advantages of the electric brakes are you can apply them manualy while driving...great if the trailer starts fishtailing, and depending on what contoller you get you can use them when reversing. Also you can set them to apply a certain amount of brake pressure depending on the load in the trailer. I would get electric brakes if I got another CT.

Arvo adsy,
We just had a camper built also (picked it up 4 weeks ago), we opted for the manual override brakes, mainly because I wanted the option of towing it with any vehicle, not limit it to the vehicle with the electric brakes fitted. In our case we have two vehicles capable of towing it and also concidered the ability for others to tow it in the .... should I say it..... event of break down.
