giday can anyone help with conversion of US database to australian data base any help would be much apprecieated i have ozi explorer but not yet up to scrach on use yet thanks heaps micksqld

you don't need to change over to the Australian basemap to use OziExplorer, but if you want to use it as a standalone handheld then you will.
There have been several posts in the recent past about how to change the basemap. But obtaining the 8 MB basemap file will be your first hurdle. I think Magellan in Perth charge about $300 for this if you draw a blank.

be careful who you share with - magellan dont mind taking people to court over their stolen illegally shared basemaps.
