Just put a set of Simex Road Trekker tyres on the Mighty Tribute. I am yet to test them off road, but so far with the rain we have just been having in Sydney they are performing just as good as any more expensive tyre.
A few people have said that they are good for the price you pay, but I think so far they are just as good as any tyre.

Done about 20,000k on my road trekkers. 235/86/16

Did a check and 9mm left, so have worn 2mm so far, so milage looking good.

Did try them out in some black soil country (the week after 200mm of rain) up around the top of Canarvon Gorge a couple of months ago, and for road pattern tyres not too bad. Spun a few times, but got through. Didn't push them too far in the mud, just in case.

Grip on bitumen not too bad. Not as good as some with softer rubber, but reasonable.

And I paid $145.00 ea for them :-)) So reckon I am ahead.
