Roast pork in net

Read that post back abit about cooking pork in net reminded me about an incident about 15 yrs ago. Meand an old mate were going from Millicent toCarpenter Rocks in SA and stopped a a great little pub in between called the Tantanoola Tiger Hotel. Had a look around and quite a few beers and the characters were friendly and great fun.Anyhoww later in the day (much later) a travelling smallgoods salesman called in on his fortnightly visit. We bought smoked eels, quail, ham and goodness knows what and I said to me mateDonny we had better go as we still had 30 ks to go to a frinds place at Carpenter Rocks. The locals wanted us to stay and have a couple for the road (you will be right blokes, theres no cops down there!!) Thank goodness there wasnt and we left. We were both hungry and decided to dine on quail on the trip. As we got into the old MQ diesel I cut the mesh off my quail and started eating and it was superb. I said to me mate "Grab me another one plese Don that was bloody beautiful" He replied "Jeez are you finished,this bastards as tough as old boots" I switched on the interior light and here he is trying to eat his still in the mesh. Far too much hospitality in the Tiger Hotel I think
