Can anyone please tell me if you can drive from Lawn Hill to Kingfisher camp up the back way? if so how long to allow and how many Ks? The track appears to turn off near Lawn Hill station ,heads north west and north to a crossroad, west to Bowthorn station and then north again to the camp. Thank for your info.

Hi Lindsay,

We were up there in September. Yes you can drive the back way easily and took us approx 3 hours / 146 km to drive from LH to Kingfisher. We towed an Aussie Swag Camper without any effort however there are some sections of Bulldust that are pretty bad. When you drive through LH Station the road is sign posted to KF all the way so you can't really take a wrong turn.

Regards
David

Seeing all those KFC signs had us guessing for a while. Then we realised it was not THAT KFC we were heading to.

Hi Lindsay
We travelled the reverse, Domadgee to LH in early October.
The road was good-- better than the Savanah Way.
Watch the entry-- you actually go through the gate into LH station, past the homestead and sheds and then for quite a few kms through the property, remembering to close the gates.....
As mentioned above keep following the KFC signs.
We didn't visit Kingfisher but a group at Adeks were great wraps for it.
