Hi to all
I need a battrey for my camper trailer to run lights ect. The battrey most likely wont be recharged till we get home and possible be very flat.Which battrery will suit this sort of use.i also have a wire running from vehicle to this battrey to charge while on the move .

If you want to abuse a battery i.e run it to below 50% charge on a regular basis, an AGM is the best, but still wont last long.

You are right that it's the best type of battery - but it sounds like you need to do a bit of homework first. I'd start with a thread search of this

hi there i have a lifeline agm for a while now no prob but they cost about $4oo not cheap but verry good 100amph.

Mark,
The AGM battery is certainly the best to suit your needs.
They can accept a higher discharge without major impact, they don't generate gases during charging and charge quicker than an equivalent
well cell battery.
One thing I would recommend, is the inclusion of a low voltage protection unit to stop discharge before the battery gets fully discharged.
A unit is available from Projecta for about $30.00.
Over Discharge Protector
They are available from Battery World or any other distributor of Projecta Products.
P.S. I cut the cigarette plug & socket off and replaced them with "merit" ones, but for lights, etc., the ciggy plug & socket would be OK.
