Hi Mike,
We have a Walkabout Camper trailer and for all our insurances we deal through a broker who usually gets the best deal, in this case the trailer is through CIL Insurances in Queen St,
Melbourne. Our last premium (Jan) totaled $175.22.
Hope this is of some use to you.

"... we deal through a broker who usually gets the best deal..."
Best deal for who? We've used a broker in the past too but a few phone calls direct to insurance companies and now we find our own insurers.

Depends if you want the contents cover as
well.
AAMI will unsure the CT but the content max cover is $500.
TCIS will insure both the trailer and contents but it will cost you double the price
of AAMI with content and CT insurance....

AAMI cover for my Cavalier was just over $180 for $16K total. This included $2K for contents to cover the fridge, esky and a few bits. For each additional $1K it was about another $8 on the premium.
I had to specify the total cost for the annex and walls, the basic camper and a $ value for extras. This made up the $16K.

The mob you have the car (or cars) with should give you an attractive "bundle" price - or give them the flick !

The premium will depend on the sum insured, contents and annex as
well as the excess, no claim bonus and named driver discounts etc
My KK is insured for $33,250 PLUS contents of $8,000 PLUS annex $2,500
QBE premium is $610 pa - In my opinion fair premium for good cover
