...but can't help myself. On the radio this morning, something about a new use for dead cats on Kangaroo Is. They are turning them into stubbie holders and selling them. No joke, thats what I heard.

Did you read the heading on that web page?

"Kangaroo Island Cat Control Committee"
"Minimising Environmental and Economic Impact of Owned and Unowned Cats"

Sounds like a place to take you cat for a holiday. ROTFLMAO.

I thought the site was fantastic. Maybe they can be nominated for an award of some sort.
They obviously have the welfare of their native flauna at heart.
Keep up the good work.

Another thought, if you are really attached to your pet cat when it drops dead you could always turn it into a stubby holder and keep it close to your heart for ever.
We now know the expertise to produce pussy holders is available. LOL.

A few years ago I saw an absolutely beautiful site. The cat tree near William Creek. Dead Cats hanging from a tree.

Is you cat missing - check under my tyres

"and I know I shouldn't..." - No you shouldn't have Tony. You're just giving all the insecure rednecks an opportunity to stick their heads out of their dungholes again and commence their verbal diahorea.

Wombat,

Sensitive are we?

Well let me remind people who may have forgotten about Mr. Warmsley of Warrawong Sanctuary fame.

He is so anti-cat, he wears one as a hat.

The only good cat is a dead one.

If these are actually selling there's a heap of professional doggers out there who are missing an opportunity from the looks of it.

Kelpie cask holders and Labrador Lambrusco bottles perhaps?

If you read the site people are paying up to $80 per skin I guess as souvenirs.
Sound like a $ to be made elsewhere.

$80 a skin! Strewth. If that's the case what would the more novel breeds and species bring on the open market?

There's a whole heap of woofies out there, you could subsidise a trip quite nicely at that rate.

I may have to get the old .308 cranked up. Here Fido, catch.

Good point, the .22 Hornet might be more 'appropriate' for the job.

Bang = 2 x cartons

Bang, bang = tank of fuel

Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang = new roof rack.

Bang x 1,000 = New Landcruiser 100 TD! ;-)
