Can anyone recommend a
camp ground in the area from southern
Sydney to Gosford (including Western Sydney/Blue Mountains area)? Requirements:
1. Needs a toilet/shower block
2. Wife's first
camping experience, so I need to make it a 'positive' experience
We will be
camping with 2 other families, and don't have a boat, so
water is not a requirement, but would be nice. Thanks for the help.

Either Narrabeen Caravan
Park (northern beaches) or Lane Cove (next to Lane cove NP) are the only two in northern
sydney, more further up the coast but i'd reckon that both will be full this time of year. Most coastal
places will be the same i'd reckon

East's in Umina/
Blue Lagoon in Bateau Bay/The council-run site at Patonga all good spots but as Hawk said, you'd be lucky to get in this time of year. If you're not too bothered by not being near
water, that should help. I find most of the waterfront sites are full of rent-a-crowd rowdies on their annual binge-fest anyway. The quieter ones tucked away often try harder because they have to compete with the waterside sites and are often really good. That's been our experience over the years, anyway. Ring around and good luck.
