G'day,
I read in a
forum item some time ago (I have tried a search to no avail) of a couple of companies in
Sydney that are economical & also do a good job for a custom made canvas awings.
I am going to set one up that is attached to the ear of my roof rack and would appreciate some
feedback
Thanks

Hi Baz. Just Googled for Bob the Swagman & had a look in the yellow pages site. NO luck.
Do you have a Phone No ?
I assume that the 2.5 mt is along the side of the Disco. If so can you pole, say at 3 mt from the car and have a 1 mt wall comming down, or do you have to have it going all the way out.
Forget the last question. Just looked at you first
pic again.

This link may help.
Not custom made, but could prove handy.

I have attached a three piece double ended tent pole to the roof rack with hose clamps leaving the front clamp a little loose so the front pole can slide. I just attach a standard heavy duty tarp and this works
well as a side awning. Have used this configuration for five years on two different vehicles with no problems. Its a cheap alternative.
