I have heard that Cyclone Clare has dumped water on Savory Creek. Can anyone confirm this and what effect will it have on Lake Disappointment on the Canning?

Hi Wayne, when are you going to the Canning? Some of the WA boys should be able to tell you the answer, but I think everyone's taking a very long weekend.

Ruth,

Starting on the 3rd of June from Ayres Rock, and finishing 29th in Alice Springs.
I have a bit of time for things too dry out before then.

I will be out your way early July, Middle of August and the beginning of October. Hope to catch up again.

Willem,

Are you doing the full Canning or just part of it. I will be around Savory Creek around the middle of June. The Canning is not that big, we should be able to see each other or at least keep in touch via HF.

Wayne

Only leaving here on 15 June. Anne Beadell, Eagle Hwy, Talawana Tk, Georgia Bore to Calvert Hills return then Cotton Creek, Newman, Nullagine, Carawine Gorge, Punmu, Wapet Road and some off road excursions to 80 Mile beach then south again along inland tracks I have missed before and home along the Nullarbor.

Will probably only be at the CSR at end of June or early July. Stopping for longer on this trip and not driving every day.

I don't have selcall on the HF. If you let me have your satphone number I can always give you a tinkle. You can email me through my website below if you wish. Or I can listen in for a sched from you on VKS

Cheers

It's not too bad here at the moment, had some reasonable scattered showers this morning. I went down to Swan Reach this arvo and it was at least 10degrees cooler down there than home. A decent rain would be nice.

Not doing too much this year. Off to Canberra for a few days flying not driving, might do another High Country trip later in the year. Might do an odd weekend run when the times right. I have a few projects that need doing around the house that will occupy time and money.
