I am looking to buy a "i-sokit" 600 watt power box with inverter. I will be running a Waco fridge and lighting, a dual battery set up is not an option as it will not fit under the bonnet of a pathfinder. Is it value for money as they appear better than the Waco "thumper etc................

From the information I have as follows: 100 amp hours, rechargeable deep cycle, built in inverter, 240 volt, 600 watt continuous power and it is portable. Comes with leads and 240 volt charger. For around $555, seems like the way to go,

Hi oznefinder,
Never heard of the 'i-sokit'. I did a web search and still nothing.
What is it ?
Best to stick to a powerpack like my 12v Power Pack or the one from Opposite Lock. You can fit a 100 ah battery and they are fully automatic and true dual battery systems in a box.
These light weight packs are not worth their weight. If you can pick it up with one hand them best to chuck it.
Regards Derek

Did the web search also, but hard to find info. I have spoken to two suppliers and the response seems positive. See other reply for details

oznefinder,
"Is it value for money as they appear better than the Waco thumper etc........"
No such thing as a "Waeco Thumper" anymore. Waeco used to sell the Thumper made by Blue Apple but the two have "parted company".
Waeco now only have a 36 Ah power pack available.
The Thumper is still manufactured and distributed by Blue Apple, in 60, 75 and 105 Ah sizes and is excellent IMHO.
