Hi All,
I am looking at buying a UHF in the future.
Having surfed the net I understand that the Icom IC400 rates highly. I have also come across the above mentioned Uniden that looks like a recent release and upgrade of an earlier model.
The UH015SX appears more userfriendly than the IC400 based on the publicity blurb and from reading the user manuals for both.
Can anyone offer their opinions as to which is the best unit based on user friendliness and quality?
Can anyone that owns a UH015sx give me their
feedback on the unit?
Cheers
GASGQ

I am backing up your comment on user friendly...
If you are someone thats likes to plug in and play without spending hours looking through user manuals and then having to refer back to them quite often,,, then dont get an Icom 400...

However- if you want good performance, good service and good quality manufacturing (to mil. spec.) then go the Icom

GASGQ,
Cannot speak for the ICOM but can verify the Uniden brand is extremely user friendly. I have a "vintage" model UH100 Sundowner that has been in my vehicle for close on 6 years. Never had any problems with it and have no cause to justify an upgrade.
Check out Prestige Communications for competitive prices on all main brands.

I have the Uniden UH013 and it has been simple to use and has worked
well for me.
Fitting was easy (the separate head unit arrangement works
well) and no problems with operations at all.
Ciao for now
Andrew.

I've owned a UH012 for years with no problems, and in the last week have upgraded to a UH013 for our new vehicle ( remote head needed for installation)
Hopefully the 13 serves us as
well as the 12 did.
Mick
