I would say not too late. Water should all be down but it will be starting to get very hot. Out by end of October should beat humidity and the wet shouldn't start that early.

No problem, we work to the end of October as a matter of course but I did a mid November run last year with no problems. Check weather maps tho as there is no hard and fast rule. Cheers Rob

Hi Laurie
We were fishing the Cape ' 04 in Late Sept / Oct, early Nov had a fantastic time
But as mentioned by previous post it is starting to get quite humid by then you
have to take each year on its own merits my daughter lives in Cairns and this wet season has been a real shocker for them as far as humidity and heat goes they have really noticed it.
My advice is to talk to as many locals as you can, my wife and I do every time before we leave for a trip anywhere up north, have found the local tourist info centres and park rangers to be a wealth of info if you tell them what your plans are and ask for help/info
If you don't mind the humidity, ( it can be a killer if you havn't experienced it before) I would say go for it and enjoy yourself - but do your home work before you leave
Have a good one
Barry

Thanks guys, starting to sound good,we have a wedding on the 25th August in Sydney and were thinking about goin straight after the wedding ,so to speak as we'd rather not have to rush back to Sydney if we are enjoying ourselves up there.
