Anyone with _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx from 4wd Systems in Sth. Aust. Are they of equal quality to other brands such as Outback? They are about half the price and was wondering if they are a lesser quality. I am in the market for a 2 draw set up in my 62 series. Looking for
feedback before I purchase.
Thanks,
Ron.

Had a good look at the 4WD System _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx and they are OK for the price.
The _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx are made out of plywood and therefore a little "chunky" and would weigh a bit more than those brands with sheet metal _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx like the Outback and Black Widow.
When I compared the appearance and features of the Outback Drawer System against their closest opposition, I determined "Black Widow" were the ones for me.
Yes, like the Outback System, they are at the upper end of the price scale, but very shmick looking and trouble free IMHO.
I have not been disappointed.

I'm disappointed to hear that they are made of plywood. Is that only the _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx or are they completely made of ply?

Not sure on that issue Ron. Was a while ago when I checked them out.
4WD Systems had (have) a demo model on the floor of their display section.
Why not try contacting them and they should be able to send you the specifications by mail, fax, or email. Most of their literature is in A4 document style format.

I dealt with that supplier a few years ago, they installed a dual battery system, air compressor, and repaired my transfer case ( jumping out of hi range) in my Troopy, very shoddy workmanship. Batt system rubbing on aircon hoses, aircomp filled with rain water and siezed ( air intake facing up ) transfer case was never repaired.
I spent alot of money, when I went back a few weeks later with my concerns got the brush off.
Dont waste your time with them.
Who knows maybe it was just a one off thing? As I said it was a few years ago.
Be careful with cheaper options.

Things haven't changed there. Pay your money and that's the last they want to see of your trouble making bum. Go elsewhere.

Thats a worry !
Maybe their motto should not be gear to go anywhere
but for gear go anywhere else ; )
The only thing I got off them that was decent was a diff lock, but every time I was in 4WD I was biting my nails wondering if that was next.
