Last time it was 4x4 Mag and now it's Aust 4WD is ignoring lights half full of water - and that is in an article outlining the potential gear failures in an water crossings .

Page 63 March Issue . By the way , I would like to know what brand the leaking lights are - if anyone can tell .

Yes , I know I said all mags were crap and I would never buy another one BUT I just can't kick the habit .

Willie .

Willie,

I had a feeling it was the Hella's that were the main culprets for letting water in.
I may stand corrected soon though.

Cheers Trevor.

Must be, I have Hella Fog light’s mounted on the bottom section of my Bull bar and they have dirty water marks on the inside of the lenses too, as well as a little bit of reflector damage from the limited number of small water crossings I have done.

Never had it deep enough to put the Cibie’s to the test, if it’s that deep it’s time to find a different way or go back as deep Water+ 4WD= spending of unnecessary $$.

Probably a file photo that you have seen before and they did not think that their readers are intelligent enough to spot it.

What's wrong with magazine writers?

They are porofessional journos, and rotate into the 4x4 magazines as the corporate needs dictate. Sometimes they write on the sister caravan & 4wd magazines and change their persona - Macho in the 4wd and very senior & responsible in the caravan mag.

And miss trivia like lihghts full of water, let alone having a clue what an owner needs to know.

Haven't got lightforces so I wouldn't know where to go.

However I do have a dud torque converter ( 'they' think) or a mal functioning engine-transmission manager (something like a 80 yr old farm manager) .

In actuality I just couldn't come to grips with the image of that
B A S T U R D from Terang racing out to recover the JEEP with you no doubt navigating for him, and operating the real time web-cam uplink feed to the Forum with a highly emotive blow by blow commentary on the whole affair.

It goes in Wednesday for JEEP diagnostics and whatever 'surgery' is required thereafter.

Thats right, keep it up, bag the poor old JEEP man when he is down (but not out).

The lot of you will be eating humble pie when it emerges as a 'born again' lean, mean George Bush Nissan eating machine on Friday.

(LOL)

PS

That goe double for the Terang Coota as well.

Perhaps it's like the 2by Exploder that Baz had that can't get the traction to the ground.

We didn't see too many 4bys here anyway Lucy... Your 2by Jeep could get here or flirt with Lucy herself.
