Just wanted to pass on what we think to be a good honest business. On the weekend we went to the open day at the 'House of 12 volt' at
Strathalbyn SA. My hubby was thinking that we would need to spend around $300-$400 on what he thought we needed at their store and when we spoke to the people there it turns out we only needed to spend $90. It’s so nice these days to have a business that’s not only out to make a quick buck and explain things correctly.
$29 of that $90 is for a gadget that we haven’t seen before, it plugs into the power pack then into whatever your running off it and if the
battery power is getting too low it automatically turns off whatever is plugged into it to save the battery, a $29 insurance for your battery must be a good thing considering the price of battery packs.
And no I’m not getting anything for writing this just to pass on a good business.
Good luck to you all.

"House of 12 Volt???
The "
Home of 12 Volt" (Blue Apple) does not have a Web Link.
Their address is 7 Rankine Street
Strathalbyn SA 5255 (08 8536 8211)
When I was talking to the owner during last year's 4WD Show in
Adelaide, he was indicating that they were planning to open an outlet in
Adelaide, but don't believe this has happened yet.
They are not pushy and give good advice without flogging something you may not need.
I was looking at a Solar Panel solution for the 75AH Thumper I had bought the previous year. The advice they gave me was to buy one panel (40 watts) and try it out first. If the 2.5 amp (approx.) output wasn't sufficient to maintain an adequate capacity in the portable battery system, I could buy another one at any time and couple it to the existing panel and controller unit to double the output.
Have only had the fridge running off the Thumper for 4 days straight, with the solar panel connected. I will probably buy another panel eventually, to ensure I am putting back in a sufficient charge, but I'm in no particular hurry at the moment.
