Does anyone have any info on rest stops around the Skipton area in western Vic. Have checked for camping grounds but alas none. Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Mike,
This information is over 12 months old and relates to Hema Map reference for the area. It was in a list given to me regarding free/cheap Campsites in Victoria and gleaned from the Net.

Map 39 E10 Scarsdale=Woady Yaloak Picnic Ground
Free overnight camping.
24k SW Ballarat on Glenelg Hwy.
Pleasant level flats near Woady Yaloak picnic ground.Well shaded by rows of mature pines. A little overgrown and neglected. Swimming hole.
Bench,shelter, BBQ. Creek water.

Some one else may be able to give you an update on the site.
Good luck.

A bit further on at Lake Bolac is a camping ground but that is about 100 clicks away and about $10 a night.
